I will be the first to admit, that I don't like the current design of
these archive pages. However, it is a first pass, so cut me some slack.
I will revamp them soon (today is Feb 17, 1999)....Alright, its May 19
and I still have not done it. I do think about it. Maybe some day.
As it stands:
A thread is a message and the replies to
that message. This might also be called a topic. Use Prev Thread and Next
Thread take you to the corresponding logical thread relative to the thread
you are viewing. This means that if there are any responses to the current
message you are viewing, you will skip them. These are shown in the links
at the top of the page as:
"Prev Thread | First In Thread | Next Thread"
The item "First In Thread" will take you back to the archive index, and
scroll to the first message for the thread for the message you are viewing.
If there are any replies to the current message you are viewing, "Response
To This Message" at the bottom of the page will take you to them.
